  I brought my Mother here about 4 years ago. Since then there have been 4 different managers. For a short time a fill in manager started to bring about positive changes with regards to staff. There was at one time 5 personnel in dining room at lunch and up to 4 at dinner. The new manager has been here about 3 months, 6 personnel have left and another will leave in 1 week. This leaves the facility very short handed. Trish the new manager has done nothing to replace the personnel. She has only 2 people serving at lunch and dinner. The average wait for meals at lunch is 30 -45 min. Last week dinner was served 50 minutes late.
  Not only are there not enough care givers to serve meals they also have a very long response time to help when the cord is pulled for service.. I am very concerned for the health and welfare of my Mother as well as the other residents.
  True to form Brookdale had another major increase this year. Stating they needed to do so to keep up with the cost of living. But at no time did they give the caregivers a cost of living raise. It is no wonder it is hard to hire and keep personnel when they get paid only about 60cents more than a bus boy. The caregivers have been great. Management does not smile and does not help out.
